WHITEMAN, Thomas Moorhead, a Representative from Westmoreland County; born, March 12, 1877 in Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pa.; graduated, Latrobe High School, 1894; B.A., philosophy, Dickinson College, 1899; M.A., Dickinson College, 1900; LL.B., Columbia University, 1902; honorary doctorate of law, St. Vincent’s College, 1938; lawyer (1902-1940); president, Latrobe Printing and Publishing Company; co-creator and managing editor, Latrobe Bulletin; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1918; reelected to the House in 1920 and 1922; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1924); editor and publisher, Latrobe Bulletin; died, August 21, 1940 in Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Unity Cemetery, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
