James, a Representative from Lackawanna County; born, September 25, 1857 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England; Ph.B. and A.M., Taylor University; iron mill worker; pastor, Primitive Methodist Church, Taylor; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1907 term and served 1 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1909 term; died, December 17, 1917 in Houtzdale, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.
