SHERBINE, Alvin, a Representative from Cambria County; born in Summerhill Township, Cambria County, Pa., December 27, 1876; graduated, Indiana Normal School (now Indiana University of Pennsylvania), 1898; graduated, Dickinson School of Law (now Penn State Dickinson Law), 1903; served, Fifth Regiment, Pennsylvania National Guard (1898, Spanish American War); teacher; lawyer; elected, delegate, Republican State Convention (1905); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1907 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House in the 1908 General election; died, May 22, 1936 in Johnstown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania; interred, Wilmore United Brethren Church Cemetery, Wilmore, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.
