SHATTUCK, Frederick J., a Representative from Crawford County; born, September 22, 1862 in Oswayo, Potter County, Pa.; attended, Riverside College, Wellsville, NY; clerk, book-keeper and store-keeper, tanning business (14 years); town clerk and president of the village, Cherry Creek, NY; engaged in the general merchandise business (1903-1943); elected, council, Linesville; elected, justice of the peace, Linesville; assistant sergeant-at-arms, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1907); assistant door-keeper, Pennsylvania State Senate (1909); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1914); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1916; not a candidate for reelection to the House in the 1918 General election; died, February 9, 1943 in Linesville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Linesville Cemetery, Linesville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.
