RAMSEY, William T., a Representative from Delaware County; born, January 8, 1873 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; employed, Eddystone Print Works; general manager, Consumers’ Ice and Coal Company; elected, president, council, Chester (1907-1911); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1913 term; reelected to serve 3 consecutive terms thereafter; elected, Majority Leader (1917-1920); resigned from the House, January 5, 1920; elected, mayor, city of Chester (1920-1924); tax collector, city of Chester (1930-1931); elected, commissioner, Delaware County (1932); died, December 12, 1937 in Chester, Delaware County, Pennsylvania; interred, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
