RAESLY, George, a Representative from Northampton County; born in Mount Bethel, Northampton County, Pa., July 3, 1859; graduated, Lafayette College; clerk, dry good store (1877-1881); operator, Gruver and Raesly, mercantile business; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Mount Bethel (1892-1897); school director, Northampton County; elected, commissioner, Northampton County (1905-1909); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1909 and 1911 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1912); died, April 14, 1924 in Mount Bethel, Northampton County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mount Bethel Presbyterian Cemetery, Mount Bethel, Northampton Township, Pennsylvania.
