QUIGLEY, Richard Shaw, Sr.,  a Representative from Clinton County; born in Blanchard, Centre County, Pa., December 25, 1886; graduated, Bellefonte Academy; graduated, The Pennsylvania State (University) College, 1906; captain and founder, Company K, Pennsylvania Reserve Militia; major, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Infantry, Pennsylvania Reserve Militia; employed, City of Pittsburgh; member, board of directors for New York and Pennsylvania, B.F. Sturtevant Company; vice-president and secretary, Lock Haven Auto Company; president, Imperial Refining Company (1916-1918); Director, Chelsea Refining Company; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to serve the 1919 and 1921 terms; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1923-1934); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the Senate (1934); died, March 2, 1966 in Bald Eagle Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania.
