PURUCKER, John S., a Representative from Allegheny County; born on April 8, 1873; private, Battery F, 107th Field Artillery, Pennsylvania National Guard and captain, 28th Division, Pennsylvania National Guard (1895-1918; Puerto Rican campaign, Spanish-American War, 1898; Mexican Border campaign, 1916); merchant and real estate broker; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1926 and 1928; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1930); died, June 7, 1954 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Homewood Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
