PRICE, Gwilym Alexander, a Representative from Allegheny County; born in Canonsburg, Washington County, Pa., June 20, 1895; graduated, University of Pittsburgh Law School, 1917; attorney, University of Dijon, France, 1919; lawyer, Beatty, Magee & Martin; first lieutenant, Fifty-third Infantry, 6th Division, United States Army (1917-1918, World War I); first lieutenant, Company C, 302nd Heavy Tank Battalion, United States Army (1918-1919, World War I); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1923 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1925 term; president, Peoples-Pittsburgh Trust Company; president and chief executive officer, Westinghouse (1946-1960); chair, Westinghouse Board (1960-1963); trustee, Carnegie Corporation, NY (1957-1959);  trustee, University of Pittsburgh; died, June 1, 1985 in Kennedy Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Chartiers Cemetery, Carnegie, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
