POWELL, Orville James "Ollie," a Representative from Northumberland County; born in Mount Carmel, Northumberland County, Pa., March 30, 1878; owner, grocery store; musician; elected, auditor, Mount Carmel (12 years); elected, council, Mount Carmel (1924); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1925 term and served 4 consecutive terms thereafter; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1934); died, March 3, 1955 in Shamokin, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mount Carmel Cemetery, Mount Carmel, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.
