POMEROY, Albert Nevin, a Representative from Franklin County; born, May 27, 1859 in the city of Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; attended, Parkesburg Academy; attended, Chambersburg Academy; employed, Adams Express Company (1876-1878); editor and proprietor, Franklin Repository (1878-1927); publisher; clerk, Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth (1887-1891); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1894 and 1900; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1896, 1902); gubernatorial appointee, State Superintendent of public printing and binding (1903-1916); died, December 2, 1927 in Chambersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Falling Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Chambersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania.
