OBER, Benjamin Franklin, a Representative from Dauphin County; born in West Donegal Township, Lancaster County, Pa., February 17, 1859; attended, Harrisburg Academy; attended, Indiana Normal School (now Indiana Univeristy of Pennsylvania); teacher; farmer; school director, Susquehanna Township (2 years); secretary, school board, Penbrook, Pa. (7 years); liveryman; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1903 and 1905 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House in the 1906 General election; died, March 30, 1938 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, East Harrisburg Cemetery, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
