MYERS, Grover C., a Representative from Adams County; born, December 21, 1883 in Latimore Township, Adams County, Pa.; attended, Cumberland Valley State Normal School (now Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania); graduated, Carlisle Commercial College; graduated, Pennsylvania Business College; agent, Philadelphia and Reading Railway Company (10 years); engaged in the grain, feed, coal, and lumber business; elected, delegate, Democratic National Convention (1912); postmaster, United States Postal Service, Gardners, Pa. (1913-1922, 1934-1939) elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1923 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1925 term; director, Citizens Trust Company; acting postmaster, United States Postal Service, Paint Rock, NC (1942); died, November 6, 1961 in Camp Hill, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Upper Bermudian Church Cemetery, Gardners, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
