MOSCRIP, George, a Representative from Bradford County; born in Greenock, Scotland, January 23, 1840; graduated, LeRaysville Academy; served, commissary department, Second Army Corps, Army of the Potomac (Civil War); farmer; teacher (1856-1870); school text book salesman (1877-1907); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1875 and 1876 terms; reelected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1906 and 1908; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1876, 1910); elected, treasurer, Washington Party of Bradford County; died, December 5, 1913 in Towanda, Bradford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oak Hill Cemetery, Towanda, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
