MOORE, David Glenn, a Representative from Washington County; born, Lawrence, Washington County, Pa. on November 1, 1873; A.B., Washington and Jefferson College, 1898; A.M., Washington and Jefferson College, 1901; graduated, Allegheny Theological Seminary, 1901; teacher, American Mission Boys’ School, Cairo, Egypt (1901-1905); acting chaplain, British Forces, Egypt (1904-1905); editor, Greensburg Record; editor, The Observer, Washington, Pa. (1905-1909); pastor, Wichita, Ks., Butler County, Pa., and Johnstown, Pa. (1910-1917); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1924; served 3 more consecutive terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1932); died, April 5, 1937 in Washington, Washington County, Pennsylvania; interred, City Cemetery, Washington, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
