MINEHART, Thomas Zeno, a Representative from Franklin County; born in Lurgan Township, Franklin County, Pa., September 18, 1869; attended, Northern Indiana Normal School (Valparasio University), 1889; graduated, Gettysburg College, 1892; honorary doctorate, Gettysburg College, 1954; miller, sawmill; teacher (3 years); lawyer; elected, solicitor, Chambersburg; counsel, Sheriff's office, Franklin County; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1907 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House in the 1908 General election; unsuccessful campaign, judge, Common Pleas Court, Franklin County; chair, Franklin County Democratic Committee; unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1930); organizer and president, Orrstown Bank; organizer and director, Farmers and Merchants Trust Company, Chambersburg; director, National Bank of Chambersburg (29 years); counsel, Citizens National Bank of Greencastle; died, May 11, 1962 in Chambersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Pleasant Hall Cemetery, Pleasant Hall, Franklin County, Pennsylvania.
