Railroad, Shippenville (1901-1902); railroad agent and yardmaster, Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad, Conneaut Lake (1903-1942); secretary, board of education, Conneaut Lake; council clerk, Conneaut Lake; superintendent, municipal water works, Conneaut Lake; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1914; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1916); elected, council, Conneaut Lake, elected, burgess, Conneaut Lake; died, July 25, 1962 in Conneaut Lake, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.
