MacAREE, James J., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, September 25, 1866 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; apprentice, iron molding trade; deputy constable, 5th Ward, Philadelphia (12 years); member, 5th Ward Republican Executive Committee (14 years); engaged in real estate; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1904; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1906); died, June 25, 1908 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
