LYDICK, Harry Silvis, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, April 23, 1860 in South Mahoning Township, Indiana County, Pa.; attended, Glade Run and Dayton Academies; J.D., University of Michigan, 1886; sergeant, Battery B, Light Artillery, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1898, Spanish-American War); school teacher; engaged in placer mining, Colorado; engaged in construction, Oregon Short Line Railroad; attorney (1887-1936); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1907 and 1909 terms; resigned from the House, July 28, 1909; appointed, Assistant United States District Attorney, Pennsylvania (1909-1913); attorney, Pittsburgh Coal Company; chicken farmer; editor, Evening Gazette (1926-1936); died, April 23, 1936 in Indiana, Indiana County, Pennsylvania; interred, Gilgal Cemetery, Marion Center, Indiana County, Pennsylvania.
