LUDLOW, Benjamin Harrison, a Representative from Montgomery County; born, September 25, 1882 in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio; graduated, Central High School, 1901; LL.B., University of Pennsylvania Law School, 1904; lawyer, Powell, Ludlow, and Schaeffer; elected, commissioner, Lower Merion Township (1920-1922); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1923 and 1925 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1927 term; elected, president, Pennsylvania Elections Association (1935-1936); deputy attorney general, Attorney General's Office (1937); unsuccssful campaign, mayor, Philadelphia (1939); state administrator, defense savings program, Pennsylvania Department of Treasury (1941-1944); died, March 15, 1957 in Manhattan, New York County, New York.
