LEWIS, David W., a Representative from Clarion County; born, April 9, 1853 in Dowlais, Wales; coal miner (1868-1877); employed, mercantile business; member, Democratic County Committee (chair, 3 years); treasurer, Knox Glass Co.; proprietor, grocery store; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1908; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1910); engaged, insurance business; died, August 26, 1920 in Edenburg (now Knox), Clarion County, Pennsylvania; interred, Knox Cemetery, Knox, Clarion County, Pennsylvania.
