LESLIE, Homer E., a Representative from Allegheny County; born, August 26, 1871 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa.; served, Company B, 14th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1898-1899, Spanish-American War); funeral director (1902-1942); elected, common council, Pittsburgh (1909-1910); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1912; resigned from the House, January 8, 1914; appointed, Civil Service Commission, Pittsburgh (1914-1918); trustee, Erie Soldiers’ Home (1915); died, June 25, 1954 in Erie, Erie County, Pennsylvania; interred, Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
