LESHER, Jacob A., a Representative from Berks County; born in Richmond, Berks County, Pa., March 13, 1861; attended, Keystone State Normal School (now Kutztown University of Pennsylvania); attended, West Chester Normal School (now West Chester University of Pennsylvania); teacher (19 years); farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1904 and reelected in 1908; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1906, 1910); died, January 8, 1944 in Fleetwood, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Peters United Church of Christ Cemetery, Fleetwood, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
