HUSTON, Joseph Nelson, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, June 13, 1878 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa.; attended, Indiana Normal School (now Indiana University of Pennsylvania), Ohio Northern University and University of Pittsburgh; private, Company F, 5th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1898, Spanish-American War); school teacher; attorney; director, First National Bank of Pitcairn; solicitor, Pitcairn borough; elected, delegate, Republican State Convention (1912); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1920; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1922); unsuccessful Prohibition candidate, Pennsylvania State Senate (1926); died, May 23, 1959 in Miami, Miami-Dade County, Florida; interred, Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, Indiana County, Pennsylvania.
