HORTON, David Harrison, “D. Harry,” a Representative from Fayette County; born, October 16, 1877 in Huntingdon County, Pa; attended, Normal School at Ohiopyle; graduated, Duff’s Business College (1897); teacher (4 years); general manager, Bear Creek Lumber Company, Friendsville, Md. (4 years); traveling salesman, Kendall Lumber Company (11 years); secretary, Kendall Lumber Company (6 years); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1914 and 1916; not a candidate for reelection to the House in the 1918 General election; secretary and treasurer, Ohiopyle Company; secretary, Huston Lumber Company; president, Connellsville Big Veins Coal Company; director, Canyon Coal and Coke Company; board member, Second National Bank of Connellsville; president, Horton Lumber Company; died, December 5, 1938 in Connellsville, Fayette County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hill Grove Cemetery, Connellsville, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.
