KING, David Orr, a Representative from Crawford and Mercer Counties; born, February 24, 1938 in Mercer, Mercer County; Pa.; graduated, Mercer High School, 1956; attended, Grove City College, 1956-1958; DDS, University of Pittsburgh, 1962; orthodontic certificate, University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Medicine, 1967; lieutenant commander, dental officer, "U.S.S. Salisbury," United States Navy (1962-1964); orthodontist; elected, Republican State Committee (1986-1988); chair, Mercer County Republican Party (1988-1990); chair, Mercer County Bush Campaign (1988); honorary delegate, Republican National Convention (1988); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1990, 1992 and 1994; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1996); died, June 10, 2019 in Lady Lake, Lake County, Florida.
