HERMAN, George C., a Representative from Berks County; born in Maxatawny Township, Berks County, Pa., June 9, 1862; attended, Keystone State Normal School (now Kutztown University of Pennsylvania); attended, Franklin and Marshall College; attended, University of Pennsylvania; elected, school director, Maxatawny Township (10 years); elected, treasurer (4 years), road board (4 years) and justice of the peace (6 years), Maxatawny Township; appointed, mercantile appraiser, Berks County (1910); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1910; not a candidate for reelection to the House in the 1912 General election; died, November 2, 1949 in Kutztown, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Zion Union Cemetery, Maxatawny, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
