HENDERSON, Elmer, a Representative from Westmoreland County; born, January 12, 1878, Port Matilda, Centre County, Pa.; attended, Teachers’ Normal School, Port Matilda; attended, Pittsburgh Academy; attended, Valparaiso University, In.; teacher; laborer, Fire Brick Works (2 years); employed, Pennsylvania Railroad Company, Pitcairn and Trafford (7 years); billing and accounting clerk, and chief clerk, Pennsylvania Railroad Company, Pittsburgh Transfer; proprietor, mechanical garage; chair, Westmoreland County Republican Committee (5 years); elected, burgess, Trafford (8 years); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1920; not a candidate for reelection to House (1922); real estate and insurance broker; died, September 22, 1939 in Blacklick Township, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.
