Carville, Jr. “Peck,” a Representative from York County; born in Parkton, Baltimore County, Md., October 21, 1932; graduated, Sparks High School, 1949; served, United States Navy (1955-1957); farmer; insurance agent; elected, council, Shrewsbury Borough (1962-1968); president, York County Boroughs Association (1965); Republican Executive Committee; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1973 term and served 9 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Local Government Commission (1979-1992; chair, 1981-1982); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1992); supervisor, Springfield Township (6 years); chairman, Republican Party of York County (2006-present); appointed, Public Employee Retirement Commission (2008-2010).
