GRIFFITH, Charles R., a Representative from Indiana County; born, Marion Center, Indiana County, Pa., on July 26, 1862; educated in public schools; Four Minute Man (World War I); owner, operator, editor, and publisher, Marion Center Independent (54 years); board member and secretary, Marion Center schools; elected, council president, Marion Center; elected, auditor, Marion Center; vice-president, Marion Center National Bank (1905-1935); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1922; served 5 consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1932); died, September 26, 1935 in Marion Center, Indiana County, Pennsylvania; interred, Marion Center Memorial Cemetery, Marion Center, Indiana County, Pennsylvania.
