GRAYBILL, David Witmer, a Representative from Lancaster County; born in East Petersburg, Lancaster County, Pa., November 10, 1853; attended, Millersville State Normal School (now Millersville University of Pennsylvania); teacher (2 years); general agent and manager, leaf tobacco business; notary (1879-1882); elected, justice of the peace (1882-1900); elected, delegate, Republican State Convention (1883, 1898); director, Farmers’ Creamery Company; chair, Lancaster County Republican Committee; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1901, 1903, 1905, 1909, and 1911 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1907 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1912); died, October 13, 1938 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery, East Petersburg, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
