GILCHRIST, Joseph Johnson, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, October 13, 1871 near Darlington, Beaver County, Pa.; co-owner, G. M. Gilchrist Sons Co., coal production; elected, school director, Allegheny City (1900-1902); elected from the Citizen’s Ticket to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1902; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1904); died, December 9, 1946 in St Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida.
