FOWLER, Alfred Irving, a Representative from Lackawanna County; born in Espy, Columbia County, Pa., January 13, 1864; coal miner; painter and decorating contractor; secretary, Scranton Builders’ Exchange (17 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1923 term; resigned from the House, May 22, 1924; appointed, chair, Scranton Board of Registration Commissioners (1924); unsuccessful Prohibitionist candidate, United States Congress (1924); died, June 1, 1937 in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania; interred, Forest Hill Cemetery, Dunmore, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
