JAROLIN, Stanley J., a Representative from Luzerne County; born in Nanticoke,  Luzerne County, Pa., January 4, 1933; attended, United States Air Force Personnel and Guidance School; served, United States Air Force (1951-1955, Korean War); plumbing and heating contractor (40 years); elected, treasurer, Nanticoke (1978-1985); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1983 term and served 7 more consecutive terms; appointed, chair, Select Committee to Investigate the Tragedy of Teenage Suicide (1986); appointed, Select Committee to Investigate Alcohol Abuse in Pennsylvania Institutions of Higher Education (1987-1988); appointed, Select Committee on Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Services in Pennsylvania (1990); appointed, Select Committee to Investigate the Divestiture of State General Hospitals (1990); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1998); died, May 13, 2000 in Newport Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
