DUNLAP, William R., a Representative from Allegheny County; born in DuBois, Clearfield County, Pa., November 24, 1885; attended, Knoxville High School, Pittsburgh; enlisted, 18th Regiment (1903), captain (1914-1916), major, 111th Regiment, Infantry (1917-1918, World War I), United States Army; lieutenant colonel, 112th Regiment (1918), colonel, 109th Regiment and 18th Regiment (1919), Infantry, Pennsylvania National Guard; appointed, Brigadier General, National Guard of the United States (1939); elected, council, Knoxville (1919-1920); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1921 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1923 term; died, November 23, 1940 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia.
