DeHAVEN, William, a Representative from Montgomery County; born in East Coventry Township, Chester County, Pa., circa 1838; private, Company C, 116th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1865, Civil War); coach maker; employed, shipping department, March-Brownback Stove Company; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Linfield (40 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1900 and reelected in 1904; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1902, 1906); died, March 11, 1928 in Pottstown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oak Grove Cemetery, Parker Ford, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
