BROWN, George K., a Representative from Luzerne County; born in Plymouth, Luzerne County, Pa., September 25, 1868; graduated, Wyoming Seminary, Kingston, Pa.; coal miner, Kingston Coal Company; travelling salesman; manager, Sans Souci Park, Wilkes-Barre (35 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1913 term; resigned from the House, July 14, 1913; director, Central Poor District (1913-1938); died, February 28, 1944 in Ashley, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; interred, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
