BROWN, Edward, a Representative from Luzerne County; born in Hanover Township, Luzerne County, Pa., December 15, 1886; graduated, Wilkes-Barre High School; graduated, The Pennsylvania State (University) College, School of Forestry; graduated, University of Washington, School of Forestry, 1920; private, 9th Infantry, Washington (State) National Guard (1915); second lieutenant, Pennsylvania National Guard (1915-1918, World War I); first lieutenant, 5th Air Squadron, United States Air Force (1918-1925); served, United States Forestry Service; teacher (1912-1923); nurseryman; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1925 term and served 2 more consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1931 term; died, April 11, 1971 in Hanover Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hanover Cemetery, Hanover Green, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
