Street (1986-1987); leader, 20th Ward Democratic Executive Committee; member, Democratic State Committee (2001-2006); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives by Special Election, November 3, 1987; Sworn-In, November 17, 1987 to serve the remaining 1987 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1989 term; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1997-2016); appointed, board, Public School Employees Retirement System (2009-2010).
