BERKHEISER, John Reginald, a Representative from Northumberland County; born in Trevorton, Northumberland County, Pa., August 7, 1887; employed, Mineral Railroad and Mining Company; coal miner, Susquehanna Coal Company; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1925 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1927 term; court crier, Northumberland County Court; unsuccessful campaign, treasurer, Shamokin (1929); assistant warden, Northumberland County jail; unsuccessful campaign, board of education, Coal Township (1935); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1938); died, August 4, 1968 in Shamokin, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shamokin, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.
