BEIDLEMAN, Edward Ensinger, a Representative from Dauphin County; born in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pa., July 8, 1873; attended, Keystone Business College; labor foreman, Lochiel Iron Works (1867-1889); assistant, Lochiel Merchandise Company (1889-1900); lawyer, Beidleman & Hull; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1905 and 1907 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1909 term; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1913-1918); elected, Senate President pro tempore (1917-1918); elected, Lieutenant-Governor of Pennsylvania (1919-1923); elected, delegate, Republican National Convention (1924); unsuccessful campaign, Governor of Pennsylvania (1928); died, April 9, 1929 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Harrisburg Cemetery, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
