ARNER, Leslie Phillip, a Representative from Clarion County; born, September 5, 1854 in the city of Charleston, Charleston County, SC; graduated, Carrier Seminar of Western Pennsylvania (now Clarion University of Pennsylvania); clerk, manager, later owner, dry goods store; appointed, postmaster, Rimersburg, United States Postal Service (1886-1889, 1893-1897); elected, auditor, Clarion County (1890-1892); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1902 and 1904; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1906); died, September 20, 1930 in Rimersburg, Clarion County, Pennsylvania; interred, Rimersburg Cemetery, Rimersburg, Clarion County, Pennsylvania.
