WRIGHT, Charles, a Representative from Luzerne County; born in Newport Township, Luzerne County, Pa., November 26, 1901; coal miner; president, United Mine Workers, Local 1167; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1937 term (Sworn-In on December 1, 1936) and served 1 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House in the 1938 General election; director, Nanticoke State Hospital; board president, Newport Towsnhip school district; died, August 17, 1976 in Sheatown, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Marys Cemetery, Wanamie, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
