CLYMER, Paul Irvin, a Representative from Bucks County; born in Sellersville, Bucks County, Pa., July 8, 1937; graduated, Pennridge High School, 1955; B.A., economics, Muhlenberg College, 1959; served, United States Army (1960-1962); credit manager, Lankenau Hospital (1967-1980); member, Republican Party, 21st Ward (1964-1976); Judge of Elections, 30th Division (1967-1972); West Rock Hill Republican Organization, vice president (1966-1967), president (1967-1969), education chair (1969-1971), health and welfare chair (1974-1976); member, Pennridge Republican Club (1976-1982); member, Upper Bucks Republican Club (1979-1982); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1981 term and was reelected to serve 17 more terms; appointed, chair, Capitol Preservation Committee (1999-2014); appointed, board, Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (2009-2014); elected, delegate, Republican National Convention (2004); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor (1998); not a candidate for reelection to the House (2014).
