WHITE, Haines D., a Representative from Chester County; born in Cupola, Chester County, Pa.; educated in public schools; engaged in the flour and feed business; engaged in the coal and ice business; engaged in the automobile business; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1929 term and served 3 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1937 term; gubernatorial appointee, board of trustees, Pennhurst State School (1944-1947); died, August 18, 1947 in Phoenixville, Chester County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church Cemetery, Honey Brook, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
