WELSH, Ellwood Brooks, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, December 14, 1890 in the City of Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; printer, Camden Fire Insurance Co.; advertising agent; deputy collector of Internal Revenue, treasurer’s office, City of Philadelphia; printer and editor, Wee Weekly Journal; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1939 term; reelected to the House to serve 3 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Joint State Government Commission Sub-Committee on Municipal Authorities (1945-1946); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1947 term; died, November 2, 1964 in the City of Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Arlington Cemetery, Pennsauken, Camden County, New Jersey.
