WATERHOUSE, Wilmer W., a Representative from Erie County; born in Cambridge Springs, Crawford County, Pa., September 4, 1905; graduated, The Pennsylvania State (University) College; engaged in the automobile and lumber industry; chair, Erie City Republican Committee (1940-1955); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1945 term and served 5 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Joint Legislative Committee on Juvenile Delinquency and Child Welfare (1947-1948); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1956); unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1956); elected, interim Chief Clerk, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1957); appointed, Secretary, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1957-1958, 1963-1964); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1960); died, July 5, 1990 in Saint John’s, Saint John’s County, Florida.
