TALBOT, Grover Cleveland, a Representative from Delaware County; born in East Coventry Township, Chester County, Pa., April 23, 1885; attended, Philadelphia public schools; first sergeant, Pennsylvania Reserve Militia (1918-1919, World War I); elected, registry assessor, Borough of Norwood (1917); employed, Henry Talbot Coal Company; elected, council, Borough of Norwood (1918-1921); elected, chief  burgess, Borough of Norwood (1921-1925); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1925 term and reelected to serve 4 consecutive terms thereafter; elected, Speaker (1933-1934); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1934); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor (1935); proprietor, Talbot Coal and Building Supply Company (1935); died, December 21, 1935 in Drexel Hill, Delaware County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mt. Zion Cemetery, Darby, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
