ROAN, William Patrick, a Representative from Luzerne County; born in Larksville, Luzerne County, Pa., March 24, 1895; graduated, Larksville High School, 1913; attended, University of Pennsylvania, Wharton Extension School; sergeant, United States Army (World War I); merchant; elected, controller, Larksville Borough (1922-1938); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1931 term and served 2 consecutive terms thereafter; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1937 term; treasurer, Larksville Borough (1939); elected, Secretary, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1939-1954); died, December 26, 1963 in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Vincent DePaul Cemetery, Larksville, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
