MURPHY, Peter W., a Representative from Allegheny County; machinist, Baltimore and Ohio Railroad; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in a Special Election, November 7, 1933 to serve the remaining 1933 term; Sworn-In, November 13, 1933; not a candidate for reelection to the House in the 1934 General election; unsuccessful campaign, city council, Pittsburgh (1951); died, September 9, 1965 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
